Welcome, lovely writer!

I’m Rachel. Ready to reach your creative goals? Let’s go!

Woman sitting by the water writing in a journal, the words "You have a story to tell" are on her left

You’re probably someone who has been writing for most of their life. You are a visionary and know that the stories in your head need to be put out into the world.

But sometimes (okay, maybe all the time these days), it seems like you just can’t get the words from your brain onto the page.

You’re frustrated because…

Deep down, you know your stories matter. They’re important. They need to find their audience.

But you just can’t seem to work through the blocks. You find yourself procrastinating – doing anything and everything else but writing.

Your creative writing goals seem to be going nowhere.

You’ve lost your inspiration.

You’re worried you may never get it back.

Then, the question all writers dread starts to plague your mind: Are you really meant to be a writer?

The awesome benefits of working with a writing coach or writing community

I’m here to tell you that, yes, you are really meant to be a writer. I truly believe that with all my heart.

And I believe that your story, blog, nonfiction book, novel, or whatever else it is you’re creating absolutely deserves a place in the world. I also believe that with some time and effort you can find your audience.

It all starts with getting some support.

How working with a coach can help you reach your creative writing goals

Do you struggle with procrastination, overwhelm, limiting beliefs, or feeling stuck?

You’re not alone. Nearly every creative writer tends to feel these things at one time or another – myself included!

These feelings are so discouraging – and trying to work through them can, at times, feel even worse.

As a creative writing coach, I help you find less painful ways to work though these feelings so that you can actually make progress toward your creative writing goals.

I help writers work through whatever is holding them back in a fun, balanced way so that they can not only achieve their goals but continue to love – or fall back in love – with their creativity and the writing process.

Together, we’ll tackle fear, the root cause of your procrastination, and any limiting beliefs that are standing in your way.

We’ll work on changing your mindset, boosting your resilience, and amping up your motivation.

Community and accountability: Powerful tools to help you reach your creative writing goals

I am a huge advocate of surrounding myself with a community of fellow creatives.

And I’ve found when other writers do this, they benefit as well.

Many writers don’t have a strong support system. Instead, they’re surrounded by people who often just don’t “get” their writing aspirations.

Being around other writers is like taking in a breath of fresh air after being cooped up in a stuffy house/office all day. It’s refreshing and inspiring.

Working with other writers also creates some accountability, which is essential for reaching your creative writing goals.

Knowing someone is waiting to hear what progress you’ve made toward your goals is helpful when you’re lacking self-motivation – which again, happens to all of us quite often.

The benefits of community are innumerable. They are powerful. And they can get you to your goals even faster!

That is why, in addition to providing one-on-one coaching, I also provide opportunities for writers to come together to work on their goals.

  • The Creative Writing Collective: When you join this free Facebook community, you’ll be invited to join two co-writing/co-working sessions each week (both free!). The sessions last for two hours, though writers are welcome to come and go as they please. We check in with each other before, during, and after the sessions for added accountability, to celebrate our wins, and to help each other solve issues that arise when we write.

Join The Creative Writing Collective
  • Victorious Writers Monthly Membership: If you want to go even deeper, you can join this program which includes twice monthly coaching sessions. We take time to celebrate our wins for each month, address obstacles, work on finding proactive ways to prevent future obstacles, and action plan for the month ahead. Half-way through the month, we meet again for an accountability session to check our progress and work through any struggles that arise.
